Earn your High School Credit in Biology at the Zoo!
This unique learning experience engages students through an innovative combination of onsite lessons and behind-the-scenes tours combined with virtual offerings including teacher led lessons and activities. Students gain insider knowledge on the Zoo's conservation programs and career discussions with Zoo staff.
Zoo School operates 60% in-person and 40% virtually. This hybrid model allows for students to attend the Zoo for appropriate zoo-linked curriculum expectations while also giving them the convenience of attending teacher-led lessons from home, without the need to travel to the Zoo. The on-line portion of the course will be delivered synchronously (a teacher will be present).
Zoo School will run from 9:00 am until 3:30 pm each day. Students will be expected to either be at the Zoo for those hours or logged on to the on-line platform.
